This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "the Policy") explains how KOSKILL, publisher of the Nice Society mobile application, collects, uses, and protects users' personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to all data processing carried out through the Nice Society mobile application, including browsing, submitting reviews, and using the feedback form.
3. General Principles
KOSKILL only collects data that is strictly necessary to improve the user experience, in compliance with the principle of data minimization.
No data is sold, shared, or used for commercial purposes unrelated to the service.
4. Data Collected
4.1. Automatically collected data
When using the App, the following information may be collected automatically for statistical or technical purposes:
- Device type and operating system
- App language and approximate region/country
- App version
- Anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration…)
This information is non-identifiable and cannot be used to trace individual users.
4.2. Email address when submitting a review
When a user submits a review about an establishment, a valid email address is required.
This address is:
- never made public;
- never used for marketing;
- used only to authenticate reviews, prevent abuse, or enable follow-up in case of moderation issues.
The email is stored securely and can be deleted upon request.
4.3. App feedback form
The App offers an optional feedback form for users to share suggestions, questions, or technical issues.
Depending on what the user chooses to submit, the following data may be collected:
- Email address (optional)
- Device type
- Operating system version
- Description of the issue or suggestion
This data is used solely to process feedback and improve the service.
4.4. Location data (foreground and background)
When you authorize location services, the App may collect geolocation data in order to trigger contextual notifications (e.g. nearby places or events) as part of the user experience. This may include background location data if the Geofencing feature is enabled.
This data:
- is only used to provide contextual content and improve in-app experience;
- is never stored permanently nor shared with third parties;
- is collected only with your explicit consent and can be deactivated at any time via your device settings.
5. Purposes of Processing
Collected data is used only to:
- improve the app and user experience;
- ensure authenticity of submitted reviews;
- respond to user requests;
- generate anonymous statistical insights;
- trigger geofenced notifications based on location, if the user has explicitly granted permission.
No data is used for advertising, profiling, or third-party marketing.
6. Legal Basis
Data processing is based on:
- the user’s explicit consent (reviews, feedback forms);
- or KOSKILL’s legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the App (anonymous technical data).
The use of geolocation data (including background location) is strictly based on the user’s explicit consent.
7. Data Retention Periods
Anonymous technical data is retained for up to 12 months.
Email addresses submitted with reviews are retained for up to 3 years, unless earlier deletion is requested.
Feedback form data is retained for up to 12 months from the last interaction.
8. Data Security
KOSKILL implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
9. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Rectify or erase your data
- Limit or object to processing
- Port your data (where applicable)

10. Complaints
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés): www.cnil.fr
11. Policy Update
KOSKILL reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Any changes will be published within the App. Users are encouraged to review this Policy regularly.
